Luis Manuel Cañabate

Born in the Spanish capital in the 90s, he is 27 years old and increasingly distant from Madrid’s casticismo. His marked love for the south, the lands of Cádiz and its carnivals can only compete with his talent and indisputable capacity to bleed through his verses. His cycle of inspiration constantly draws on the working class environment of the humble neighbourhood and his personal experiences as an ordinary man. He is also capable of using the lyrics of Kutxi Romero or the group Hijos Bastardos to create his lyrical magic. Passionate about cinema and audiovisual subjects, especially photography and illustration, he does not hesitate to make room in his projects for amateurs in these sectors. With one work published so far and others on the way, Luis reminds us through his work of the intensity of the most abstract feelings.
